WOW 2 – Summer for those that are post traumatic divorce

We will meet once a month this summer on

June 18th, July 16th and August 13th

9:00 AM-1100 AM

This support group is for women who have completed their divorces and are transitioning to new lives as single women. Although it is up to the individual to discern if her divorce qualifies as traumatic, traumatic divorces typically include one or more of the 4 A’s - Abuse (physical, emotional or financial), Addiction, Affair or Abandonment. Members will meet weekly to share their experiences in a safe space that offers validation, compassion and confidentiality. The group will also discuss chapters from the newly released book, Light on the Other Side of Divorce: Discovering the New You, by Dr. Elizabeth Cohen.

*Although this group offers emotional support, it is not meant to take the place of therapy.

Diane Anderson is the Director of Wellness for JDW. She is an ordained UCC pastor, having earned her MDiv. degree at Andover Newton Theological School and is also certified in Spiritual Direction from Boston College and Positive Psychology from The Kripalu Center on Lenox, MA.  Diane is currently working towards her certification in Mindfulness Meditation. Diane went through a traumatic divorce herself in 2014 and has developed an interest in all subjects related to post-traumatic growth and healing.
